Fish dream meaning in Islam

What the classical Islamic books of dream interpretation say about this symbol, with the book and page.

What al-Nabulsi wrote

Did you see fish in your dream? Al-Nabulsi wrote in Ta'tir al-Anam that many fish, too many to count, may point to wealth that is gained. Whoever sees they are catching fish may hear words that gladden them, and catching big fish is benefit and good. His book gives other readings too. Interpretation differs with the dreamer's state, and Allah knows best.

From the book

  • «وإن لم يعرف وكثر فهو مال مغتنم»“If it is not counted and is plentiful, it is wealth that is gained”
  • «فإن رأى أنه يصيد سمكا في الماء فإنه يسمع كلاما يفرح به»“If one sees that they are catching fish in water, they hear words that gladden them”
  • «أنه يصطاد سمكا كبارا فإن ذلك يدل على منفعة وخير»“That one catches big fish: this points to benefit and good”

Ta'tir al-Anam fi Ta'bir al-Manam, ʿAbd al-Ghani al-Nabulsi (d. 1143 AH), p. 174–176. Dar al-Fikr, Beirut (al-Shamela text, book 1217). Translated from the Arabic by Fil Manam.

Interpretation differs with the dreamer's state, and Allah knows best.
